Abstract

Analysis skills is an ability that plays an important role for students in solving a problem. Students must be able to identify an element, apply strategies and conclusions in solving problems, make decisions, arrange problem elements and determine relationships in their settlement. High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are thinking skills at a higher level that require students to be able to think critically and creatively by describing parts of the information obtained, finding relationships between parts, constructing and finding solutions to the problems they face. The purpose of this study was to describe students' analytical abilities in solving mathematical problems with the High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) type in statistics material. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method with the research subjects being class VIII students for the 2021/2022 academic year at MTs Negeri 1 Maluku Tenggara. The instrument in this study was a test item consisting of 2 High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions on statistics. The results of the study showed that students fulfilled the analytical indicator abilities in the differentiating, organizing, and attributing phases

Abstract

Evaluation is a means to improve the quality of education through the results of information that is used as feedback and improvements to educational programs, one of which is the formative-summative evaluation model. This study aims to determine the effect of the formative-summative evaluation model on mathematics learning outcomes through differentiation learning in high school students. This type of research is evaluation research with a quantitative approach. Data were obtained through documentation techniques by taking samples based on certain considerations (purposive sampling), namely classes that have implemented an independent learning curriculum and educators who teach are driving educators so that planning in differentiated learning can run as expected. The results of the analysis using multiple linear regression tests obtained that there was a significant influence between the formative-summative evaluation model on mathematics learning outcomes as shown from the calculations obtained by the value of Fcount = 89.8 with a significant level of 0.05, then Ftable = 3.316 so that Fcount > Ftable or 89.8 > 3.316 then H0 is rejected. This shows that the formative-summative model can be used to evaluate student’s mathematics learning outcomes through differentiation learning

Abstract

Teacher’s lack of interactive learning media and abstract mathematics learning materials results in low mathematical communication skills as indicated by students' answers in solving math problems. Flipbook media is one of the interactive and interesting learning media in learning mathematics which accommodates the principles of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This study aims to determine the procedure for developing RME-based flipbook media and to determine students' mathematical communication skills after using the media developed on circle material. This type of research is R & D (Research & Development) research using the 4D development model (Define-Design-Develop-Disseminate). The subjects in this study were 3 mathematics teachers, 6 students taken from each class VIII outside class VIII-E, 2 material experts, 2 media experts and 32 students from class VIII-E SMPN 3 Banjar. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative data analysis. Based on the analysis of the results of the mathematical communication ability test, as many as 31.25% of students showed a level of mathematical communication ability in the "high" category, as many as 43.75% of students showed a level of mathematical communication ability in the "medium" category as many as 25% of students shows the level of mathematical communication skills in the "low" category. It can be concluded that RME-based flipbook learning media is feasible and effective in students' mathematical communication skills. This research is a reference for teachers to make flipbooks using Flip PDF Professional software which can assist the learning process and further researchers can conduct research and development of flipbooks in collaboration with other software on different material and mathematical abilities

Abstract

This study aims to determine the digital literacy of MTsN 1 Kutai Kartanegara mathematics teachers in preparing questions in mathematics learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research are mathematics teachers including VII, VIII, and IX grade teachers at the school. The object of this research is the digital literacy of mathematics teachers. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study was carried out using three stages, which are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the digital literacy of mathematics teachers at MTsN 1 Kutai Kartanegara was categorized as capable in preparing questions in mathematics learning. In terms of teacher capabilities, they are capable in aspects of internet searching, content evaluation, and knowledge assembly. Although, in the aspect of hypertextual navigation they are still less capable

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Students Team Assisted Division (STAD) type of cooperative learning model in a virtual classroom and its effect on learning outcomes of limit algebraic functions in class XI students of SMA Negeri 12 Ambon. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with experimental type Post Test Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 12 Ambon. The research sample was 31 students in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2. The results showed that descriptively the average percentage of the implementation of learning by teachers was 67%, and (2) the average percentage of student activity in online learning was 64% and ( 3) the difference in the average value of the experimental class and the control class is 6.42. Based on the inferential statistical test with independent t sample test calculations, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) = 0.031 smaller than the value which means there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. This difference shows that the use of STAD type cooperative learning in online learning has a higher contribution than conventional online learning
